For FoxSports.com this is the moment of utter embarrassment. In their recent blunder that displays lack of general knowledge, a huge headline for a story about Hamid Soryan’s gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling screamed “IT’S IN THE BAGHDAD!”.

The headline would have worked well if Hamid was from Iraq, but unfortunately for Fox News he is from Iran and for the record correction of Fox News, Baghdad is in Iraq. Even after the gaffe was pointed out by other news sources the headline continued to be splashed across the Fox Sports Olympics page for yet another hour. The perfect example of laziness coupled with sheer ignorance.
