American Woman Apologizes To President Karzai On Behalf Of Americans (VIDEO)
This video was posted by kiradavis422 on YouTube following President Obama’s apology to President Karzai for the burning of Quran by US military. Kiradavis422 felt that just like President Obama apologized to President Karzai for the insensitive burning of the Quran, so should she like a responsible citizen of the United States. At least, that is how the video starts. The video then starts with the woman actually starting her apology and turns out, that it was but a cynical bashing of President Karzai and his moral sensibilities instead of an apology. Clearly the woman seems infuriated at Obama for even apologizing to the Afghan president.

A well known African American folk musician, Vance Gilbert posted a lengthy letter on his website to the ACLU, about his experience on a flight from Boston to Washington DC on August 14 in a United Airlines flight. he was pulled off the plane and questioned about his fanny pack (which he had tucked into his backpack under the seat in front of him) and about a book he was reading on historic planes. Britain Bans Airbrush Makeup Advertisement
Two makeup advertisements have been banned in the UK by Britain’s Advertising Standard Agency (ASA). The ads featured actress Julia Roberts and supermodel Christy Turlington. The ads were pulled after politician Jo Swinson complained that they were “misleading, and exaggerated the ability of the products they were promoting to cover lines, wrinkles and blemishes.” L’Oreal fired back claiming that they believed the photo was true to the product in illustrating what it could accomplish. The controversy over the banning of these ads has rehashed the debate on women’s body image. MORE
