Quarterback Matt Owens of Cathedral High School in Boston (Mass.) had just slipped through the defense and was all but destined to score on a long touchdown run that would give his team its first Super Bowl title in school history. Then with about 20 yards between himself and the end zone, Owens raised his fist in celebration.
