With stalls in NBA lockout discussions causing commissioner David Stern to cancel all games through November, fans have finally started to get pissed off. This was on full display after the latest breakdown in labor negotiations when a disgruntled fan shot a tweet at Miami Heat owner Micky Arison, accusing him and his fellow owners of being greedy “pigs,” among other things. Arison’s short and sweet tweet back to the fan landed him a $500,000 fine – five times the amount any owner has been fined for public comments about the labor situation thus far.

Only hours later, Ellen took to the stage to host her hit show, and assured her fans amidst jokes that she was fine. She said she wanted to fill her fans in on all the details, “because TMZ is also telling you what’s going on in my life.”
