Diwali or Deepavali, the Festival of Lights is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs. It s one of the most prominent festivals celebrated in India. The five day festival honors Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. People prefer starting the new businesses at Diwali, and say prayers to the goddess for a successful year.
