A high-ranking diplomat, who was also the State Department’s deputy chief of mission in Libya then, Gregory Hicks testified during the Benghazi Hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday.
Hicks gave an emotional account of the hours surrounding the incident and efforts to rescue the diplomats under attack. His testimony resurrected the almost dead concerns regarding the role of the U.S. military and top officials in the White House at that time.
