David Wetherill from Britain played Thomasz Kusiak from Germany at the Paralympic Games and what a game it was!

After a good start, it seemed like Wetherill was too far to the side to rebound after a smash made by Kusiak. But the paralympian unexpectedly and amazingly jumped with nothing to catch his fall and scored an epic point that got the announcers as well as the audience screaming with joy.

Paralympics Opening Ceremony In Photos: Olympics Come Back To Life (PHOTOS)

18 days after the Olympic closing ceremony, the London 2012 Paralympics are under way at the Olympic Park. The games commenced with a spectacular opening ceremony. Britain’s first Paralympics gold medalist, Margaret Maughan, 84, had the honor of lightning the Paralympics flame. Over 4200 athletes from 164 countries are scheduled to compete in 21 sports during the next 11 days

Prefacing 11 days of competition, the theme of the gala was enlightenment, from the apple falling in Isaac Newton’s garden in Lincolnshire to Stephen Hawking’s celebration of Higgs Particle.

London Olympic 2012 Paralympics Ad: ‘Meet The Superhumans’ (Video)

In the latest Olympic advertisement UK’s Channel 4 presents ‘Meet The Superhumans’. The ad focuses primarily on Paralympics who will represent Great Britain in the upcoming London Olympics of 2012. The London 2012 Paralympics Games will be held from August 29 till September 9th. All games of the event will be telecasted exclusively on Channel 4.

The ad has been as popular as ‘Unstoppable’ which follows Canadian paraplegic runner Alister McQueen. Watch the video and see how paraplegic athletes have been able to create history with their strong will power, determination and dedication.
