John Lennon’s Widow Yoko Ono Launches New Music Scheme In Liverpool (Video)
John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono helps launch The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus aimed at providing support for new musicians across Europe. Sarah Mills reports.
The Tour Bus is a mobile recording studio set up to help budding musicians.
As well as performing at the event at the Museum of Liverpool, local band Mic Lowry got a look inside the bus too.

Underground Concert Helps Miners Shake The Blues
These Musicians play for Russian nickel miners as they head in to work as part of a special program called “Prosmart”- an acronym that stands for production, advancement, art and mood.
Workers seemed to be enjoying themselves. They snapped photos of the group as they played traditional Russian instruments.

Young Musicians In Mexico Turn Trash Into Treasure (Video)
When a group of students formed their band in Mexico City, they couldn’t afford to buy expensive instruments so…they decided to make them instead.
They dug through landfills and salvaged items that with a little creativity would create the right sounds. And now, they are turning heads at venues in Mexico City.
The band “Orchestra Rubbish” now has no deart of instruments. On average Mexico City generates 13,000 tons of garbage a day.

Indian Police Using Beatles’ “Abbey Road” Album to Teach Pedestrian Safety
Music rocks the world. Plato said music is a moral law. Then there are those who will swear by the fact that it has healing powers!
Going a step further than the rest, traffic police in the Indian city of Calcutta have started a pedestrian safety campaign using the cover of the Beatles’ iconic album “Abbey Road!”
They have mounted billboards showing the British band on a pedestrian crossing, with the slogan “IF THEY CAN, WHY CAN’T YOU?”
