The December massacre in Newtown, Connecticut might have been motivated by the 2011 mass shooting in Norway, by Anders Breivik, officials told a news agency.
Law enforcement agencies have been speculating that Adam Lanza was inspired by Norwegian mass murderer Andres Breivik. Officials involved in investigating the Newtown massacre have told CBS news that Lanza shot children at Sandy Hook Elementary School because he was inspired by Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik. While the police are further investigating the psychological factors which drove Lanza to commit the shooting, they found violent video games worth thousands of dollars during a search in Lanza home. His time spent playing gory video games might have contributed to his murderous mentality which led him to kill people, viewing the children as ‘easy’ targets and their deaths as ‘scores’
