Police Demote Arizona Cop Over Obama Image On T-Shirt With Bullet Holes (VIDEO) (PHOTOS)

An Arizona Police sergeant, Pat Shearer has been demoted after he posted a controversial picture on his Facebook in January. The photo was that of a group of men carrying guns and holding up a T-shirt featuring President Obama’s face covered in what appeared to be bullet holes. Pat, a 25-year Veteran of the Peoria police department had been serving as a patrol sergeant, will now be demoted to the rank of an officer. This demotion has taken place without pay for two weeks, effective immediately. Pat just has 10 days to make an appeal according to the spokesman Jay Davies.

Jon Stewart Bashes GOPs Over Obama Re-Election Fears (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart does it again. In The Daily Show aired on February 22, 2012 he bashed the remaining four Republican GOP presidential candidates. They were debating again on Wednesday in Arizona and that is when Jon Stewart revisited a lot of fears that the Republicans had voiced for Omaba’s election in 2008. Basically, Stewart went on to check how well the fears voiced back in 2008 against Obama had panned out. After all, that would be a decisive factor in his re-election in 2012.

On The Daily Show, Stewart replayed clips from 2008 when GOPs had used ‘Socialist Islamic Dictator’ as a title for Obama. They had implied that all that was standing between America and catastrophe was Obama. Now his term is over and it is only fair to judge how well Obama managed to fulfill the premonitions made by his Republican opponents.

Saudi Journalist, Hamza Kashgari Might Be First To Face Death Penalty For Controversial Tweet

A Saudi journalist, Hamza Kashgari might be the first person to face death penalty for remarks that he shared on Twitter which insulted The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).

It is believed that Kashgari tweeted  his doubts about The Prophet (PBUH) on His birthday last week. Insulting the Prophet (PBUH) is considered blasphemy in Islam and is punishable by death under the strict laws of Saudi Arabia.

Kashgari’s controversial tweet caused a huge uproar with more than 30,000 responses and a large number of death threats. More than 13,000 people joined a Facebook page called, ‘The Saudi People Demand The Execution of Hamza Kashgari.’

Proposition 8 Declared Unconstitutional Cheers Gay Marriage Supporters

A federal appeals court has declared California’s 2008 voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage as unconstitutional. It even concluded that the ban did nothing more than to ‘lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians.’

The 2-1 ruling by the US 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals was narrowly written to limit its scope to California’s borders and [possibly even avoid review by the Supreme Court. However, gay-rights advocates are hailing Tuesday’s decision as historic, while supporters of Proposition 8 immediately vowed to appeal.

The court did not expand on the constitutional rights of gays and lesbians, instead, based their decision on a 1996 US Supreme Court precedent that stated that a said majority may not take away the rights of a minority without legitimate reasons.

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Husain Haqqani has offered to resign over the ‘Memogate’ – allegations relating to a purported attempt by the country’s President to get help from the U.S. in fighting off a possible military coup.

Husain Haqqani decided to resign from his designation after reports claimed that Husain Haqqani had acted as an envoy for President Asif Ali Zardari, who allegedly wanted to forward a message to the Pentagon that he (Zardari) was ready to replace Pakistan’s military leadership if the U.S. came to his government’s support. Mr. Husain Haqqani clearly denies carrying any such request by Asif Ali Zardari. Husain Haqqani has now been called back to Islamabad an investigation is underway.

During a casual town hall meeting with constituents at an Uno Bar and Grill in Gurnee, Illinois, freshman Rep. Jon Walsh started screaming when a pair of participants dared to suggest that banks deserve some of the blame for the current financial crisis.

Jon Walsh, a “Tea Party favorite” has recently received a pro-family award from the Family Research Council despite owing over $117,000 in unpaid child support to his ex-wife. At the town hall meeting he angrily insisted that he “[didn't] want government meddling in the marketplace.”
