Britain Bans Airbrush Makeup Advertisement
Two makeup advertisements have been banned in the UK by Britain’s Advertising Standard Agency (ASA). The ads featured actress Julia Roberts and supermodel Christy Turlington. The ads were pulled after politician Jo Swinson complained that they were “misleading, and exaggerated the ability of the products they were promoting to cover lines, wrinkles and blemishes.” L’Oreal fired back claiming that they believed the photo was true to the product in illustrating what it could accomplish.
