President Obama Plants A Magnolia Tree In Jerusalem Which May Be Uprooted For Inspection (Photos) President Barack Obama planted a magnolia tree in Israeli President Shimon Peres’ Jerusalem garden. It symbolizes the ever-growing strong friendship between the two countries. It also signifies the United States’ commitment to stand alongside Israel against nuclear-armed Iran.

But news has emerged that before the plant’s roots can take hold, the Israeli government will inspect it. A source told ABC News that the magnolia tree will be uprooted in a week by the Israeli Agriculture Department. The roots of the tree were covered with plastic when it was planted by Obama as Israel doesn’t allow plants within its borders from other countries.

Will Obama Fare Well in His 2ndTerm? History Says Otherwise

We wonder what Obama had in mind when he declared, ‘I deserve a second term’. Things may be going well for him, but these are very tough times and as far as we can deduce, second terms of US Presidents haven’t particularly been very successful.

Twenty of the past US presidents have served more than one full term in the office as POTUS. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the only US President in history, to have served more than two terms in office as the President. He died during his 4th term, leaving Vice President Harry S Truman, to serve the remainder of the term.

Gingrich Calls Obama Comments on Trayvon Martin Shooting ‘Disgraceful’

It seems like the whole world is out to scrutinize Obama and his every word and action. Indeed the time till the elections has to be very cautiously spent by the US President. Trayvon Martin’s killing is a very sensitive issue at the moment in America. There is a lot of hurt and anger as well as demands for justice, which for the US citizens have not been fast enough in this case.

One of the most recent barbed criticisms has come from Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich who shot down President Obama’s condolence to Trayvon Martin’s family as disgraceful. In all fairness to the President, his words, “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon,” were most likely meant as a point of relating to the family like his own and affiliating with the family of the victim. However, the critic, Mr. Gingrich claims the comment is extremely racist as what the victim looked like should not be a matter at all. A victim deserves protection and justice regardless of their skin color or ethnicity.
